About Us
Mission Statement
The 21st Century Fund is a catalyst for innovative and enriching education. We enable teachers and students,
both academic and vocational, to find new sources of knowledge, creativity and inspiration.

Accomplishments
Over the past 25 years, the 21st Century Fund has awarded over $221,000 to teachers and students. We provided seed money for STEM teams – Envirothon, Electric Car and Robotics; funded new curriculum ideas – most recently, hydroponics; and given grants for specialized workshops and travel opportunities. In addition, we created the Mahoney-Hewat Science and Technology Center; a $500,000 project.
About Us
Founded in 1994, we are an independent non-profit. The Board of Directors is a team of volunteer community leaders and educators dedicated to fostering enriched educational experiences outside of the school budget and ‘beyond the classroom.’ We are funded by private donations and have an endowment fund at Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation.
